2. The Department on Aging has received the following revenue related to the Senior <br />Citizen Health Promotion (Wellness) Grant Program: <br />• Fit Feet Clinics -Based on current year collections, the department anticipates <br />receiving $10,000 in fees for this fiscal year from the Fit Feet program, which provides <br />nurses and supplies for the Senior Citizen Health Wellness Program. <br />• Wellness Clinic -The Senior Wellness Clinic is held weekly at the Seymour Center <br />and is offered through a partnership with the UNC School of Medicine. Voluntary <br />contributions will be collected from participants in the Clinic and all donations will be <br />used for its support. At this time $1,000 is anticipated in donations. <br />• Wellness Class Fees -funds totaling $2,000 were received late in FY 2010-11 and <br />earmarked as deferred revenue for use in FY 2011-12 related to wellness classes. <br />• University Mall Walk Program -funds totaling $6,000 from UNC Hospitals in <br />support of the department's University Mall Walk Program. These funds will cover <br />costs of meals served at the Mall walks each month. <br />This budget amendment provides for the <br />current Senior Citizen Health Promotion <br />follows: (See Attachment 7, column 2) <br />receipt of these funds and amends the <br />(Wellness) Grant Project Ordinance as <br />Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness Grant ($19,000) -Project # 294303 <br />Revenues for this groiect: <br /> Current FY <br />2011-12 FY 2011-12 <br />Amendment FY 2011-12 <br />Revised <br />Senior Citizen Wellness Funds $98,604 $19,000 $117,604 <br />Total Project Fundin $98,604 $19,000 $117,604 <br />Appropriated for this groiect: <br /> Current FY <br />2011-12 FY 2011-12 <br />Amendment FY 2011-12 <br />Revised <br />Senior Citizen Wellness Grant $98,604 $19,000 $117,604 <br />Total Costs $98,604 $19,000 $117,604 <br />Visitors Bureau <br />3. The Visitors Bureau requests an appropriation of $75,000 from available fund balance of <br />the Visitors Bureau Fund for the following two initiatives: <br />Tourism Spending Research Study - $50,000 for a research study to determine <br />change in the visitor profile, the non-visitor behavior, gaps in services, migration to <br />Durham and how the Bureau can advertise in a way that engages visitors, brings <br />them to Orange County and supports economic development through tourism <br />spending. This study will be completed with the assistance of the Purchasing staff. <br />
