18.2 This Ordinance took effect on the 20th day of April, 1993. An Ordinance <br />Regulation the Operation of Ambulance Services and the Administration of <br />Emergency Medical Assistance in Orange County, North Carolina effective May <br />1, 1981, is hereby repealed effective, April 20, 1993. Any person, firm, or <br />corporation providing ambulance service, rescue service or first responder service <br />pursuant to a valid franchise issued by Orange County under the repealed March <br />1, 1981 Ordinance shall be entitled to continue that service as provided in the <br />franchise and for the term of the franchise.
