The goal for <br />completion of the project is July 2012. <br />The attached conceptual plan was presented to the Solid Waste Advisory Board (SWAB) on <br />October 12, 2011 to solicit comments and suggestions. The conceptual plan was again <br />discussed with the SWAB at its November 9, 2011 meeting receiving additional discussion and <br />input from members as well as the public present. <br />On October 24, 2011 a public meeting was held at the Northern Human Services Center to <br />receive input from adjacent property owners and users of the Center with .regard to the <br />conceptual site plan. Meeting notices were mailed to all property owners within 1,000 feet of the <br />Center property. Meeting notice flyers were distributed at the site several days in advance of <br />the meeting and were placed in the News of Orange and Chapel Hill Herald newspapers. <br />Posters were placed on all Solid Waste Convenience Center and Recycling Drop-off bulletin <br />boards announcing the public meeting. <br />Nine residents attended the meeting. The comments received and a staff response are <br />provided as an attachment. The County "build team" has taken all comments received into <br />consideration and discussed each comment and suggestion. <br />
