These complaints cited <br />the need for patrons to use both hands to return items, one to lift the flap and the <br />other to push the book under and through. Each day library staff has <br />patrons who praise the use of the new book drop slots and their convenience and <br />customer service (Attachment D). <br />Alternatives to a Modified Book Drop <br />Although the public has reacted favorably to the modified book drop doors, staff <br />acknowledges this does not address the concern expressed by the local resident <br />about a drive fhrough_ book drop.
