3. 2030 Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Map Amendment <br />In accordance with the provisions of Section 2.3 Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendments of the Unified Development ordinance, the Planning Director has <br />initiated an amendment to the Land Use Element Map located within Chapter 5: <br />Land Use Element of the comprehensive Plan. Land Use Element Map <br />amendments are necessary for consistency with the Water and Sewer <br />Management Planning and Boundary Agreement (WASMPBA) and engineering <br />design for public sewer in the Efland area. This amendment is also consistent <br />with recommendations included in the Efland- Mebane Small Area Plan. The <br />proposed Land Use Element Map amendment is approximately 47 -acres near <br />Efland and Brookhollow Road, along the south side of McGowan Creek from <br />Agricultural Residential to 1 0 -Year Transition. <br />Purpose: To review the item and receive citizen comment on the proposed map <br />amendments. <br />4. 2030 comprehensive Plan Text Amendments <br />In accordance with the provisions of Section 2.3: Comprehensive Plan Amendments <br />of the Unified Development ordinance (UDO), the Planning Director has initiated <br />amendments to the text of the following sections of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan: <br />• Chapter 1: Plan overview <br />• Chapter 3: Economic Development Element <br />• chapter 4: Housing Element <br />• chapter 5: Land Use Element; Land Use Element Map (text only) <br />• Chapter 0: Natural and Cultural Systems Element <br />• Chapter 7: Parks and Recreation Element <br />■ Chapter 8: Services and Facilities Element <br />• Appendix F: Relationships Between Land Use categories and Zoning <br />Districts Matrix <br />■ Appendix G: Future Land Use category Locationai Criteria <br />The purpose of the amendments is to correct many inconsistencies in the names of <br />several land use categories /classifications and terms as they are used throughout the <br />document, as well as to revise references to ordinances now incorporated in the <br />adopted UDO. <br />Pur ose: To review the item and receive citizen comment on the proposed text <br />amendments. <br />5. Unified Development ordinance (UDO) Text Amendments <br />In accordance with the provisions of Section 2.8 Zoning Atlas and Unified <br />Development ordinance Amendments of the Unified Development ordinance, <br />the Planning Director has initiated an amendment to the text of the Unified <br />Development ordinance. Text amendments are proposed to the following <br />sections of the Unified Development, ordinance: <br />• Section 2.5 Site Plan Review <br />
