Location Maps <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Perdita Holtz, Planning Systems <br />Coordinator, 245 -2578 <br />Craig Benedict, Planning Director, <br />245-2592 <br />PURPOSE: To consider the legal advertisement for items to be presented at the joint Board of <br />County Commissioners / Planning Board Quarterly Public Hearing scheduled for November 21, <br />2011. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of county commissioners reviews proposals to be considered at <br />public hearing for consistency with general county policy and presentation format. The following <br />items are scheduled for the November 21, 2011 Quarterly Public Hearing: <br />Develo er Initiated: <br />1. Carolina Friends School petition to modify an existing Class A Special Use Permit to expand <br />school operations at the facility at 4809 Friends School Road. (See map in Attachment 2 for <br />location). <br />County Initiated,: <br />1. Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Map and Zoning Atlas Amendments: Map <br />amendments related to the Orange /Alamance county line adjustments ('91 % line'). A Land <br />Use classification and Zoning District needs to be assigned to each parcel, or portions of a <br />parcel, that does not yet have a classification district. Sixty -seven property identification <br />numbers (PINS) properties are affected. The proposed Land Use category is Agricultural <br />Residential and the proposed zoning district is Agricultural Residential (AR). (See map in <br />Attachment 2 for location). <br />2. Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Map Amendment: change approximately 47 acres <br />near Efland and Brookhollow Road, along the south side of McGowan creek, from <br />Agricultural Residential to 10 -Year Transition. (See maps in Attachment 2 for location). <br />3. comprehensive Plan Text Amendments: Correct many inconsistencies in the names of <br />several land use categories /classifications and terms as they are used throughout the <br />document and revise references to ordinances now incorporated in the adopted UDO. <br />
