ORANGE CbUNTY, 1~RTH CAROLINA <br />addition to the Fire Chief, the department leadership team includes one Deputy Fire <br />Chief, two Assistant Fire Chiefs, one full-time Captain, and three volunteer Captains. <br />The Fire Chief is responsible for appointing all subordinate ranks. In addition, 19 department members are <br />certified as Medical First Responders (MFRs). The full-time Captain acts in the <br />capacity of department training officer and is responsible for the development of the <br />training schedule to ensure that State-mandated training is accomplished. <br />The number of emergency responses are reported to have been stable over the <br />past three years.
