ORANGE COUNTY, 1~RTH CAROLINA <br />The Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department also reports incidents on a fiscal year <br />basis. A total of 1,530 incidents were recorded between July 1, 2009 and June 30, <br />2010; a total of 1,576 responses were reported between July 1, 2008 and June 30, <br />2009. The department conducted 924 life-safety <br />inspections and 143 plan reviews from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. <br />CEDAR GROVE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />The Cedar Grove Fire Department provides fire and first responder services <br />to the Cedar Grove Fire District. The department has 39 volunteers. Eleven members <br />of the fire department are certified at the Firefighter I and Firefighter II levels. Fifteen <br />members of the fire department are certified as Medical First Responders (MFRS). An <br />average of 10 volunteers respond to emergencies during daytime hours. The number <br />increases to 15 members during nighttime hours and on weekends. The department <br />is lead by a Fire Chief who is elected by the department's membership, and approved <br />by the seven-member Board of Directors.
