• Title X Family Planning Funds - an additional $7,650 for purchasing long-acting <br />reversible contraceptives for family planning, non-Medicaid clients for the prevention <br />of out-of-wedlock births. These funds will help defray the cost of these devices for <br />the department as well as purchase educational materials. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds for the above <br />mentioned purposes. (See Attachment 1, column #3) <br />4. The Orange County Board of Health has approved several fee changes to the Health <br />Department's current fee schedule in response to an upcoming change on the Medicaid <br />Cost Settlement in FY 2012-13. Staff will monitor revenue collections for these fees in <br />the coming months, and, if needed, will come back at a future Board of Commissioner <br />meeting to adjust budgeted revenues for FY 2011-12. The Sheriff Department has been awarded funds from the U.S. Department of Justice FY <br />2011 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCRAP) in the amount of $19,011. In <br />June 2000, the Sheriff Department entered into an agreement with Justice Benefits, Inc. <br />(JBI) to secure appropriate Federal financial assistance in recovering federal funds that <br />are due to counties who house federal inmates. Based on their work, Orange County will <br />receive $19,011 from the U.S. Department of Justice for the current fiscal year. This <br />budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds. (See Attachment 1, column <br />#4) <br />Emergency Services <br />6. At its October 4, 2011 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved an <br />intergovernmental agreement between the North Carolina Department of Crime Control <br />and Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management and Orange County (Emergency <br />Services). Orange. County Emergency Services will receive reimbursement funding up to <br />$5,000 from the State to plan and conduct adiscussion-based exercise that will test the <br />capabilities of all agencies involved in.responding to a Natural Disaster according to the <br />County's Emergency Operation Procedures (EOP). Through this exercise, County <br />partners will have an opportunity to review the EOP to ensure all partners understand <br />
