at this facility. They are specifically interested in establishing a computer class, and possibly two <br />classes. EI Centro Latino has also requested space at this facility. Space has also been identified for a <br />potential library or "cybrary." The most pressing need at this facility is the replacement of the wastewater <br />treatment system. It is presently operating in excess of 45°~ over capacity. The task force feels that this <br />is a prime opportunity to look at various solar and other energy efficient methods. <br />Commissioner Jacobs extended his appreciation to the two County Commissioners who <br />served on this task force and the staff support. <br />Commissioner Gordon thanked Chair Halkiotis and Commissioner Brown for their work on <br />this task force. <br />Chair Halkiotis said that this has been an effort on the part of a lot of people. He thanked <br />Pam Jones, Paul Thames, David Stancil, Rich Shaw, Bob Jones, Ron Holdway, and the people from <br />Environmental Health. This has been a total team effort. He said that the most exciting recommendation <br />to come out of this was the development of the Northern Human Services Center Management Team to <br />be sure that the operation is run smoothly. He will keep a fire burning during July with respect to getting <br />people involved early. <br />This was received as information. <br />b.
