Foushee, Alice M. Gordon, Pam Hemminger, Barry Jacobs, and Steve Yuhasz <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Earl McKee <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Frank Clifton, Assistant County Manager and <br /> Gwen Harvey, and Clerk to the Board Donna S. Additions or Chanqes to the Aqenda <br /> The Chair went through the items at the County Commissioners' places: <br /> - White sheet— Item 5g - additional information for Easements Pertaining to County Owned <br /> Real Property at 112 and 118 North Churton Street. <br /> - Blue sheet— replacement for item 8-b, Employee Health Insurance and Other Benefits for <br /> 2012. <br /> - Pink- additional information for Item 8-c-Bid Award: Link Center Geothermal HVAC and <br /> Approval of Budget Amendment# 1-B <br /> - White sheet- hand out for Item 9-a - Economic Development Potential and One-Quarter <br /> ���4) Cent Sales Tax Educational Material Report <br /> Chair Pelissier said that there would be a public announcement. <br /> Dottie Schmitt introduced the new Economic Development Director, Steve Brantley. <br /> He is a Durham native and a UNC graduate. He was able to bring $800 million worth of <br /> investment and 1,600 jobs to Durham County. He comes highly recommended by the former <br /> director, Gary Shope. <br /> Steve Brantley thanked them for this opportunity and he anticipates that he will have <br /> things to learn, and he wants to start meeting people. <br /> Frank Clifton said that the County did a thorough search for this position. There were <br /> 44 applicants from 18 states. <br /> Chair Pelissier said that Commissioner McKee was out of the state tonight and would <br /> be unable to attend the meeting. <br /> 2.
