Additions or Chanqes to the Aqenda <br /> The Chair went over the additional items. <br /> - Public comment sheet from Kim Ward for Matters Not on the Printed Agenda <br /> - Petition from Commissioner McKee <br /> - Green and salmon for item 7-a, Class A Special Use Permit— Montessori School <br /> - Pink — revised abstract for item 8-c - Central Efland and Northern Buckhorn Sewer <br /> Extensions — Funding (Including Budget Amendment #1-A) and Bid Award and <br /> Construction) (also includes PowerPoint presentation for item 7-b - Efland- <br /> Buckhorn-Mebane Commercial Industrial Transition Activity Nodes and Economic <br /> Development District Access Management Plan <br /> Chair Pelissier said that Emergency Management Director Frank Montes de Oca will <br /> give an update on Hurricane Irene. He said that it is forecast to reach the North Carolina coast <br /> around Wilmington on Saturday around 1400 hours. He said that updates are given daily at <br /> www.read oy ran�e.orq, or the public may call 245-6111. <br /> PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> The Chair dispensed with the reading of the public charge. <br /> 2. Public Comments <br /> a. Matters not on the Printed Aqenda <br /> Kim Ward lives in the northern part of Orange County. She spoke about her concern <br /> with an inspection notice and a request for a payment of a fee from the Orange County Health <br /> Department concerning her single-resident spray septic system. In 2005, she applied with the <br /> Orange County Health Department with a septic permit to build her house. In October 2005 <br /> she received a denial and several different options were given to her. She chose to appeal the <br /> denial and hired a soil scientist and the scientist also said that there was nowhere on her land <br /> that would perk, and that she should proceed with getting a permit from the State of North <br />
