Your - <br />input is invaluable .and much needed as the county reviews- emergency services, both- internally' and <br />externally. <br />The Board of County Commissioners would like for each of the fire departments as well as Orange <br />County- Emergency Services to provide- the Commissioners feedback on the -Fire, Rescue,_ and <br />Emergency Services Study. The Board is especially interested in suggestions on #low- to address the <br />challenges and opportunities outlined in the report. The Board of Commissioners would like to hold a <br />joint meeting of the Commissioners, Emergency Services, and Volunteer Fire Departments on <br />Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 7:00pm at the DSS offices, Hillsborough Commons, 113 Mayo Street <br />in Hillsborough. <br />We would like to- invite each fire department's Fire Chief and Board of Directors' Chair /President and <br />Orange County Emergency Services to- represent- your department at this meeting with the County <br />Commissioners. This meeting will provide a venue for open discussion about this study, your <br />responses and suggestions, and hopefully will also- provide --direction for future coordination of our <br />emergency services delivery system in Orange County. <br />In preparation for this meeting, we welcome advance written feedback (suggestions on how to address <br />the challenges and opportunities outlined in the report in the Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services <br />Study) that you would like to provide to the county.
