Year-To-Date Budget <br />Summary <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clarence G-vier, (919) 245-2453 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and school capital project ordinance amendments for <br />fiscal year 2011-12. <br />BAClEGROUND: <br />Department on Aging <br />The Department on Aging has received additional revenue for the following programs: <br />• Senior Lunch Program -receipt of $6,547 ($3,900 from the Town of Chapel Hill, <br />$1,347 from the Town of Carrboro, and $1,300 from the Town of Hillsborough) to <br />support the department's Senior Lunch Program. These funds will be used to <br />purchase meals for program participants at the Seymour and Central Orange Senior <br />Centers. <br />• Donations -receipt of funds totaling $14,000 for FY 2011-12 from the Friends of the <br />Seymour Center and the Friends of Central Orange Senior Center to continue after <br />hours service two evenings (5-9 p.m.) per week at Central Orange and two evenings <br />(5-9 p.m.) and some Saturday hours (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) at the Seymour Center through <br />the use of non-permanent personnel. <br />• Sponsorship funds -funds collected of $6,000 from agencies who advertise in the <br />Aging Transitions' Community Resource Guide. These funds will be used to print the <br />2011 edition of the guide. <br />• National Family Caregiver Support Program -funds totaling $25,672 to provide <br />support to individuals who are the primary caregivers of frail older adults through the <br />
