The Board adopted the amendments to the Facilities Use Policy, effective September 1, <br /> 2011; repealed an Ordinance Regulating Parks and Recreation in Orange County, effective <br /> September 1, 2011, and any other ordinance or policy related to facilities use; and direct <br /> the fee schedule be incorporated into the FY 2011-2012 Manager's Recommended <br /> operating Budget as presented. <br /> � Approval of Contract to Purchase Real Property from Joseph T. Public Hearinq to Determine Whether or Not to Grant Economic <br /> Development Incentives to Induce a Company to Expand in Oranqe County <br /> The Board held a public hearing on the issuance of incentives to a private company by <br /> Orange County, City of Mebane and the NC Department of Commerce and to consider <br /> approval of an economic development incentive agreement. <br /> Frank Clifton said that the County is in the process of awarding a development <br /> incentive grant, which will be part of the funds used to match a State of North Carolina grant. <br /> AKG is looking at expanding in Orange County. This is a well-known national company. The <br /> County will provide $100,000 in five annual installments of $20,000 each. The City of Mebane <br /> will provide a $60,000 match and $40,000 of in-kind services. The State of North Carolina will <br /> provide a $120,000 grant. This will add 90 new jobs to the County. <br /> Economic Development Director Gary Shope made a PowerPoint presentation. He <br /> introduced an AKG representative, Ron Pritchard.
