He made reference to page 12 and the standards based on state conservation goals. <br /> He said that he would like to see what Chapel Hill and Carrboro have as far as conservation <br /> objectives. On page 17, he would like further information on vehicles and the composition of <br /> the fleet. He made reference to page 35 and policies related to lights, refrigerators, and <br /> microwaves. He hopes to have a policy about stay-on televisions, which use electricity. The <br /> ones at Southern Human Services Center are on all the time. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs made reference to the environmental responsibility goal that the <br /> Board of County Commissioners adopted in 2005. In this goal it mentions reduced resource <br /> consumption and increasing use of recyclable products, renewable energy services, etc., and <br /> this is not in the report. He hopes that someone comes back with this. He said that there are <br /> constantly instances where recycled products are not used at County functions. <br /> Wayne Fenton said that these appendices are what the Board of County <br /> Commissioners adopted in 2005 and implemented in 2006 and they will bring back in revisions <br /> in the fall. <br /> Chair Pelissier said that it would be good to see the dollar value of their savings in <br /> using conservation methods. <br /> 10. County Manaqer's Report <br /> Frank Clifton said that the County Commissioners had received a letter from OCS <br /> about the '/4-cent sales tax proposal with regards to the term, "equitable split" between the two <br /> school systems. <br /> 18 <br />
