4. f REPORTING AND COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE COUNTY <br />Reporting and Communications with the County (e.g., ability to comply with all County procedures <br />for revenue collection; monthly expenditure reports and animal admittance and disposition; <br />monthly report outlining compliance with elements of the contract for interim shelter management <br />and operation.) Please note that County Commissioners have also requested that the successful <br />respondent provide a monthly report with commentary on the operations of the shelter. <br />PARTNERSHIP WITH ORANGE COUNTY <br />1. STATISTICAL REPORT - A full and accurate statistical report will be filed with Orange <br />County by the fifteenth of every month. This report will detail numbers and types of animals <br />arriving at the shelter and their dispositions (adopted, fostered, euthanized, still in shelter). <br />2. FINANCIAL REPORT - A full and accurate financial report will be filed with Orange County <br />by the fifteenth of every month. This report will detail exact income and expenses in every <br />category. <br />3. SHELTER OPERATIONS REPORT - An overview Shelter Operations Report will be filed <br />with Orange County by the fifteenth of every month. This report will outline the progress <br />and difficulties in the past month's operation of the shelter. <br />4. ON-GOING COMMUNICATION -The Executive Director will inform the County Contact <br />.(County Manager, Assistant County Manager, Health Director, or whoever is designated) <br />and the Chair of the HSOC Board of Directors of any unusual problems. Continual updates <br />on the situation will be provided. <br />5. APPEALS COMMITTEE - An Appeals Committee will be established to hear adoption <br />appeals or problems with the Orange County Animal Shelter. The Committee will be <br />comprised of members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, representatives <br />of the HSOC Board, and the Executive Director. This will insure that all persons have a fair <br />hearing before an impartial committee. <br />6. FINANCIAL AUDIT -The County Finance Department will be invited to conduct an audit or <br />review of finances at the end of the initial contract period. Finances will be open at all times <br />and co-operation and complete disclosure will be HSOC's mode of operation. <br />27 <br />
