Knox St. <br />Durham, NC 27705 <br />February 26, 2003 <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />Dean Edwards was my supervisor at the Animal Protection Society of Durham from April 15, 2002 until he <br />resigned in November 2002. <br />I thoroughly enjoyed Dean's management during his tenure as Director of the Animal Protection Society of <br />Durham. Dean acknowledged the strength of each staff member and he allowed me to exercise my strengths <br />to the best of my ability. Dean actively sought out opportunities for staff members to work on their <br />professional development and encouraged them to attend classes and seminars. He brings a wealth of <br />previous experience to the table and is always willing and able to provide support and guidance when it is <br />sought. He is an effective problem solver and I always felt comfortable discussing my concerns with him. <br />Dean is an effective manager that would be a great asset to any organization. His experience and <br />communication style provided a positive working environment.
