ARTICLE 21. ADMINISTRATION <br />21.1 Establishment of Position of Zoning Officer <br />The provisions of this ordinance shall be administered by the Zoning Officer, <br />who shall be appointed by the County Manager. <br />21.2 Duties of the Zoning Officer <br />The Zoning Officer shall have the power to grant Zoning Compliance Permits, <br />to make inspections of buildings or premises, and revoke permits and any <br />other procedures necessary to carry out the enforcement of.this ordinance. In <br />connection with the enforcement of this ordinance, the Zoning Officer shall <br />make all necessary determinations and interpretations as required by this <br />ordinance. Persons aggrieved by a decision or a determination made by the <br />Zoning Officer may appeal that action to the Board of Adjustment. (See <br />Article 2. Subsection 2.3.7): <br />*21.3 Powers and Limitations of Zoning Officer <br />*Amended <br />10 -17 -89 If the proposed excavation, .construction, moving, alteration or use of land as <br />set forth in the application are in conformity with the provisions of this <br />ordinance, the Zoning Officer shall issue a Zoning Compliance Permit; <br />however, <br />a) Issuance of a Zoning Compliance Permit shall in no case be construed <br />as waiving any provision of this ordinance. <br />b) Under no circumstances is the Zoning Officer permitted to grant <br />exceptions to the actual meaning of any clause, standard, or <br />regulation contained in this ordinance to any person making <br />application to excavate, construct, move, alter, or use either building, <br />structures or land. <br />C) Under no circumstances is the Zoning Officer permitted to make <br />changes to this ordinance or to vary the terms of this ordinance in <br />carrying out assigned duties. <br />d) The Zoning Officer shall issue a permit when the imposed conditions <br />of this ordinance are complied with by the applicant regardless of <br />whether the use of the permit would violate contractual or other <br />arrangements (including, but not by way of limitation, restrictive <br />covenants) among private parties. <br />e) The Zoning Officer shall revoke a zoning compliance permit if it is <br />found to be issued in violation of any of the provisions of this <br />ordinance, or if the conditions as stated on the permit are not carried <br />out: <br />1%A A <br />
