8 <br />Goal #3 150 Days (August-December) <br />Deliver CERT Training to identified citizens ~ <br />Objective #3 <br />Develop and administer training program to citizens. <br />Measurement #3 <br />Train 100 citizens utilizing the CERT concept and lesson plan. The organizational team will <br />develop the CERT course specific to Orange County's needs. The instructional teams will teach <br />at least 100 citizens in the CERT methodology. The list of trained volunteers will be maintained <br />by the Orange County Citizens Corps. <br />Goal #4 Concurrent to Goal #3 <br />Reduce citizens' injuries when performing emergency work <br />Objective #4 <br />Provide practical experience to citizens in performing limited emergency work <br />Measurement #4 <br />Reduce by 50% the number of injuries sustained by trained citizens while performing emergency <br />work. This would be measured by first administering a survey on previous injuries during <br />disasters during the first CERT meeting to establish a baseline. Follow-up would involve <br />administering surveys to the trained citizens after each disaster to determine whether the citizens <br />sustained any injuries while assisting their neighbors post-disaster. <br />8 <br />
