A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING TO <br />ESTABLISH AN ADEQUATE PUBLIC FACILITIES ORDINANCE (2002-04-08/R-lla) <br />WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Town Council has been working with the Carrboro Board of <br />Aldermen, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of <br />Education to develop a Schools Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, a committee has been established, called the Schools and Land Use Council, with <br />representatives from each of these elected boards; and <br />WHEREAS, the Schools and Land Use Council has developed a draft Memorandum of <br />Understanding, dated February 8, 2002, that would establish roles and responsibilities in <br />implementing an Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town Council has considered this proposal at a Public Hearing on February 18, <br />2002; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the <br />Council approves the Memorandum of Understanding as proposed. <br />This the 8~' day of April, 2002. <br />
