6.29.3 Design Standards <br />The design standards applicable within Economic Development Districts are <br />shown on the following pages and are divided into two categories, Land Use <br />Intensity Performance Standards and Design Criteria. The Performance <br />Standards establish "land use intensity ratios ", or ratios of construction to <br />natural features as well as standards to eliminate or mitigate nuisances and <br />undesirable impacts on the environment. The Design Criteria establish <br />standards for landscape and architectural features, parking and circulation, <br />service and storage, and signs and lighting; i.e., how the use "fits" the site and <br />how it relates to the surrounding area. <br />NOTE: The "design standards" referenced in <br />Article 6.29.3 have been prepared as a <br />separate document entitled The Orange <br />County Economic Development Districts <br />Design Manual. Copies of the Zoning <br />Ordinance may be obtained with or <br />without the Design Manual depending <br />upon the needs of the citizen. <br />w rc <br />
