A <br />summary of each item proposed for public hearing is provided. Staff is available to research <br />and answer questions prior to the public hearing. <br />SCHOOLS ITEM <br />PROPOSED THIRD HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO SCHOOLS SYSTEM <br />The Board of Commissioners indicated during its April 24, 2003 work session plans to conduct <br />a public hearing on several aspects of the proposed third high school in the Chapel Hill- <br />Carrboro Schools system, immediately preceding the May 27 planning-related items. The <br />school-related public hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m. Primarily, the intent would be to: <br />1. Afford citizens the opportunity to comment on the proposal to reallocate $12.8 million in <br />public school bonds approved by voters in November 2001 from Elementary School #10 <br />to High School #3, and <br />2. Provide citizens a chance to comment on any other aspect of the proposed high school, <br />including the CHCCS preferred site near Rock Haven Road. /'sM~~ ~~ ~- <br />Following the conclusion of the public hearing on the above, the Bo/ard will conduct the public <br />hearing on the planning items noted below. <br />
