21 <br />Funds will be allocated to Affordable Rentals, Inc. to acquire property in Chapel Hill for <br />lease to low-income families with incomes below 50% of area median. <br />Anticipated Beneficiaries: 2 households earning less than 50% of the <br />area median income <br />Accomplishments: 2 housing unit <br />Anticipated Complefion Date: December 2004 <br />$80,000 <br />Priority: Provide funds to activities that support other Community <br />Development objectives and activities, especially activities that <br />compliment Neighborhood Revitalization activities or serve public <br />housing residents. <br />Funds will be allocated to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA to continue operation of after <br />school programs for children living in the Pine Knolls neighborhood and the South Estes <br />Drive public housing community. <br />Anticipated Beneficiaries: <br />Accomplishments: <br />Anticipated Completion Date: <br />20 children of households earning less than <br />80% of the area median income <br />Free childcare for 20 children <br />June 30, 2004 <br />$13,000 <br />Funds will be allocated to the Orange County Literacy Council to continue to operate <br />computer-based literacy programs for public housing residents and other lower income <br />Chapel Hill residents. <br />Anticipated Beneficiaries: <br />Accomplishments: <br />Anticipated Completion Date: <br />30 individuals earning less than 80% of the <br />area median income <br />Provision of literacy related services <br />June 30, 2004 <br />$13,500 <br />
