REVISED THIRD ..RESOLUTION <br />for ITEM 5-f <br />April 15, 2003 BOCC Meeting <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />,~ ~ 5 ~~G3 ~ 6~~ <br />~~ <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING <br />ORANGE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE MATTERS <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Orange County that the Board hereby requests the Senator and <br />Representatives representing Orange County take the following <br />position on legislation regarding the following matter: <br />1) Oppose House Bill 863, version 1, a copy of which is <br />attached as Exhibit A, and oppose all subsequent versions <br />or other bills that seek to require all school systems in <br />the State to delay (except in instances of year-round <br />schools and "good cause" as defined in the bill) the <br />beginning of the school year until after Labor Day; <br />Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />this the day of <br />seconded by <br />the foregoing resolution was adopted <br />2003. <br />I, Donna Baker, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Orange,-North Carolina, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the <br />foregoing is a true copy of so much of the proceedings of said <br />Board at a meeting held on <br />2003 as relates in any <br />way to the adoption of the foregoing and that said proceedings <br />
