SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> MOSItETRAK <br /> MobileTrak: <br /> SOUND INTERFACE <br /> FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION <br /> With the MobileTrak Sound interface,the system plays a sound based on particular triggers.The <br /> audible sound can be a system beep or a*.wav file.All .wav files must be located in a wav subdi- <br /> rectory of the sdisplay directory. <br /> WAV files are an audio file format that can be configured with a predetermined volume level. <br /> When a*.wav file is triggered,the user's volume is reset to its original level after the sound fin- <br /> ishes playing. <br /> The following triggers can be configured to generate an audible sound under the following condi- <br /> tions: <br /> • When an error message is displayed to the user. <br /> • When a silent dispatch is received by an MDT MobileTrak user. <br /> • When the client program is disconnected fiom the monitord daemon. <br /> • When a client program reconnects to the monitord daemon. <br /> • When query results are returned. <br /> The following table lists examples of sounds,the varying conditions to which they can be <br /> assigned,and the potential results of the trigger. <br /> SOUND CONDITION RESULT <br /> beep An error messages is shown to the Mobile- The system sounds a beep. <br /> Trak user. <br /> 'wav files An MDT enabled unit receives a silent dis- The system sounds the assigned olert.wov <br /> patch. file. <br /> •network disconnect occurs.
