Procedure Execution: <br />Reviews chart notes, past visits prior to meeting with patient <br />Performs anthropometric measurements as needed per standards in the WIC Local Policy and Procedures Manual and State <br />WIC Polic and Procedures Manual <br />Follows all procedures and policies as outlined by the WIC local and state Policy and Procedure Manuals <br />Conducts evaluations and audits as required by PHS policies and procedures. <br />Complete all necessary documentation related to MNT counseling sessions <br />Competency Validation: ^ 1 ^ 2 ^ 3 ^ 4 ^ 5 <br />Comments: <br />3. Patient Education: <br />Utilizes open-ended questions to obtain additional information. <br />Provides thorough assessment of each patient and determine appropriate education <br />Based on family centered approach, determines educations topic. <br />Effectively presents education topic with appropriate handouts. <br />Documents nutrition education contacts. <br />Interprets, evaluates, and utilizes pertinent current research relating to nutrition care. <br />Develop and select nutrition education materials for use by clients. <br />Assists in outreach activities. <br />
