/��acht�rti- 3a, 3, <br />Orange - Chatham Justice Partnership <br />Mission Statement <br />♦ To promote a spirit of cooperation through the development of <br />community -based programs that address court - imposed sanctions and <br />treatment needs of offenders in the interest of public safety for Judicial <br />District 15B. <br />OCIP Goals <br />♦ To develop and implement a comprehensive plan for repeat offenders <br />that includes a continuum of services for prevention, early /immediate <br />intervention, intermediate sanctions, confinement, and aftercare. <br />♦ To provide greater safety to the community and to expand sentencing <br />options by developing diverse community -based programs and <br />sanctions that appropriately punish offenders receiving a non - <br />incarcerative sentence. <br />♦ To promote coordination between state and local leaders in the <br />development of a state -wide strategy addressing risk factors and <br />intervention with criminal/delinquent offenders and plans for their re- <br />entry into the family and community. <br />♦ To reduce recidivism among offenders. <br />♦ To reduce alcoholism and other drug dependencies among offenders. <br />♦ To reduce the number of probation revocations. <br />♦ To reduce the cost of incarceration to the state and counties. <br />
