ORANGE COUNTY RECREA TION &PAR %S <br />ADVISORY COUNCIL <br />February 25, 2002 <br />Minutes <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: (Underlined): Tony Bri tt; Lorraine Parker, Chair; Sandy Quinn; <br />Jeffrey Schmitt; Patrick Sullivan; Marie Tate; <br />Barry Jacobs, BOCC Liaison. <br />NEW MEMBERS: Michael Beattie, Frances Douglass, Robb English,, Marla Fearrington, <br />Tom Sievert <br />STAFF PRESENT: Lori T Recreation & Parks Management Director <br />Libby Davis, Administrative Assistant III <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />1. Chair Lorraine Parker called the meeting to order at 6:10 PM. <br />She welcomed everyone to the meeting. We welcome four (4) of our new members <br />with us tonight and everyone introduced themselves. <br />2. There were no changes to the Agenda this month. <br />3. Changes to Minutes <br />Approval of November 26, 2002 minutes: Tony Britt moved that the minutes of <br />November 26, be approved after one correction. The minutes of October 22, 2002 should <br />have said they were seconded by Marie Tate, not Tony Britt. So noted by secretary. The <br />November 26, 2002 minutes were seconded by . Approval was unanimous. <br />4. New Appointment Recommendations <br />Lori Taft, Director advised the board that we still have some positions to be filled on the <br />board. Sheets with candidates information was passed out for members to make suggestions. <br />It was suggested that we recommend Seth Stephens from Eno Township and Stephen Peck <br />from Chapel Hill -City Limits Township to become members of our board. � <br />We still have two (2) positions open. One (1) from Cedar Grove and one (1) from <br />- - - -- Cheeks At= Large. - Hopefully we can get some more candidates for these-positions before. -- _ - - -- <br />next meeting. <br />Lori Taft would like for us to have a full board before we schedule our training session. <br />
