18 <br />ECS Project Plo. 06-48292-A - 2 - <br />June 03, 2011 , <br />The site is located in a .primarily residential area of Carrboro. A regulatory records <br />search report, dated June 2, 2011, of ASTM standard and supplemental databases was <br />prepared for the site by Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR). The EDR report <br />identified several properties-within the search distances of inquiries of the various ASTM <br />standard and supplemental databases. <br />Oakley, Louise Property, 105 Pine Street -located approximately 500 feet <br />north and topographically downgradient of the site. According to the EDR report, <br />soil contamination was discovered in October 2002 in- connection with a 550- <br />gaflon heating oil .UST. The incident was Closed by the State in May 2003. <br />Based on the topographic gradient relative to the site and the current regulatory <br />status, ECS does not consider this incident to be a potential contamination <br />source or REC of the site. <br />Hoyt Perry Property, 103 Pine Street -located approximately 500 feet north <br />and topographically downgradient of the site. According to the EDR report, soil <br />contamination was discovered in .July 1999 in connection with a heating oil UST-. <br />The incident is listed in the Response phase. Based on the nature of the incident <br />and the topographic gradient relative to the site, ECS does not consider this <br />incident to be a potential contamination source or REC of the site. <br />Koeze, Jeff/Kate Residence, 704 W. Main Street -located approximately 700 <br />feet west and topographically cross-gradient to the site. According to the EDR <br />report, soil cantam-inaiion was discovered during the removal of an oil furnace in <br />September 1993. The incident was Closed by the State in June 1996. Based on <br />the distance from the site and the nature of the incident, ECS does not consider <br />this incident to be a potential contamination source and REC of-the site. <br />Located within the search distance of inquiry but greater than 1,000 feet from the site, <br />the following incidents were identified in the EDR report; however, based on the distance <br />from the site, ECS does not consider these incidents to be potential contamination <br />sources or RECs of the site. <br />• Hogan Residence, 202 E.
