Industrial Recruitment Competitive Fund Nomination for Barber and <br />Ross <br />The Board approved accepting a $50,000 grant from the N. C. Department of <br />Commerce on behalf of the Barber and Ross Company to match the County's Utility Fund <br />Extension Grant. <br />L Reciprocal Agreement for Building Inspections for Carrboro, Chapel Hill, <br />and Orange County <br />The Board approved authorizing reciprocal agreements with the towns of <br />Carrboro and Chapel Hill to assist each other with inspection services in extenuating <br />circumstances. <br />EL Letter in Support of New Hope Advisory Committee <br />The Board approved a letter of support for resolutions of the New Hope Advisory <br />Committee with regard to the New Hope Corridor project. <br />r. Minutes <br />The Board considered approval and/or correction of minutes from the May 18, <br />1999 regular meeting. These will be corrected and brought back at the next regular meeting. <br />d. Animal Protection Society Proposal to Raise Shelter Adoption and Board <br />Fees <br />The Board considered a request from APS to raise shelter adoption and board <br />fees from $75 to $99 for dogs and from $49 to $75 for cats. <br />Commissioner Brown asked if Hillsborough supports the animal shelter. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis asked if the County picks up animals in Hillsborough and <br />if Hillsborough is charged, and Health Director Rosie Summers said no. <br />Pat Sanford, Director of the Animal Protection Society said that the money they <br />receive is from Chapel Hill and Carrboro.
