In addition, gross revenue can be used to <br />estimate infrastructure costs which are likely 2 to 3 times greater than gross revenue. The <br />economic multiplier of infrastructure costs help to create economic activity for local farm supply <br />businesses which allows farming communities continue to thrive and farm supply businesses <br />to remain profitable. <br />S.Tell us about your group. Who are the group members? What skills do group members <br />have that will be useful to the successful completion of the project? Who-will be responsible <br />for managing and carrying out project activities? <br />Carl Matyac, Orange County Extension Director, Mike Lanier, Area Agribusiness Extension <br />Agent, and Noah Ranells, Orange County Ag Economic Development Coordinator, are the <br />agriculture professional that facilitate the program. Additional support is provided by Local Soil <br />and Water Conservation District staff and the full Breeze Farm Planning Committee that <br />includes representation from the Center for Environmental farming Systems, NC State <br />University, and NC A&T State University. Dr. Ranells and Dr. Matyac will be the responsible for <br />major project activities. The skills prov+ded by all staff include a long history of successful <br />project management, accountability, and agricultural revitalization programming. <br />The apprentice farmers are all second or third year apprentices and have learned from their <br />experiences during one or two production seasons.
