Proposed August 23, 1999 Public Hearing Advertisement <br />The Board considered approving the legal advertisement for items proposed for the August 23, 1999 <br />quarterly public hearing. <br />Chair Gordon said that several things could be added to the meeting. There will be a notice coming out with <br />additional items. Master parks and recreation, the national resolution legislative items, and the water and sewer <br />boundary task force issues will be added to the meeting agenda. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner Carey to approve the legal <br />advertisement for items proposed for the August 23, 1999 quarterly public hearing. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />y_ Wood-green Subdivision Preliminary Plan - Motion to Reconsider <br />The Board decided to reconsider a decision denying an application for the Woodgreen Subdivision <br />preliminary plan. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to reconsider a decision <br />denying an application for the Woodgreen Subdivision preliminary plan. <br />VOTE: AYES, 3; NO, 1 (Commissioner Jacobs) <br />h. New Assistant to the Manager Position <br />The Board was to consider a new position of assistant to the manager and amend the classification and pay <br />plan to include the new position at salary grade 72, however, it was postponed until the next meeting. <br />10. REPORTS <br />a. Report on Topics for Proposed September 2 meeting on Local Jurisdictions' Coordination to Access <br />Jordan Lake Water Supply <br />The Board was to consider the responses of OWASA and Chatham County regarding possible topics of <br />discussion for the proposed September 2" d Board meeting on the coordination of access to the Jordan Lake water <br />supply by local jurisdictions, however, it was postponed until a future meeting. <br />Mr. Ed Kerwin, the Chair and Vice-Chair of the OWASA Board, and the two County members of the Board <br />will be invited to the August 31St work session. <br />11.
