In the course of his private practice over aseven-year period, Mr. Hughes <br />designed and managed the construction of a number of residential subdivisions in the <br />Chapel Hill and Carrboro North Carolina. <br />Land Development Corporations (March 1992 to December 2001) <br />Mr. Hughes was an officer, director and shareholder in two land development <br />corporations, namely: The Wexford Group, Inc. and The Williams Woods Group, LLC. <br />January, 1990 to December, 1990 University of North -Carolina, Chapel Hifl, NC, <br />Graduate Studies <br />Mr. Hughes returned to graduate school to pursue advanced studies in environmental <br />engineering at the University of North Carolina. During this year he took graduate level <br />courses in the Mathematics Department and the Department of Environmental <br />Engineering. The focus of these studies was directed toward gaining an understanding <br />of the mathematics and architecture of three-dimensional finite element groundwater and <br />contaminant transport modeling software.
