74
winter storms. We had more than enough supervisory staff to oversee the debris monitoring
services. Our ability to mobilize, train and supervise hundreds of people in an organized and
timely manner is key to our past success at debris removal monitoring and the corresponding
recovery of the community.
Neel-Schaffer's success in managing disaster debris removal, in particular Hun-icane Frances,
Jeanne, Katrina and Ike, is a testament to our ability to work effectively in complex situations.
We have a highly trained group of professionals who can complete the job in a cost effective
manner. Our company values are based on quick response, local hiring, client service,
ethical practices, full reimbursement and sensitivity to the environment. Our staff places the
utmost importance on accounting procedures and implementing accurate and comprehensive
reporting. Neel-Schaffer's objective is to achieve full reimbursement for all eligible disaster
recovery costs from appropriate federal and state agencies. We currently have two active
projects involving approximately 40 personnel. This represents only a very small part of our
available monitor and management capability as shown in the graphs below. Current projects
include flooded structure demolition in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and beach cleaning in response to
the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
While Neel-Schaffer has extensive debris management experience across the eastern half
of the country, we currently only have one pre-event commitment in North Carolina. Our only
contract in the state is with the City of Topsail Beach. The Neel-Schaffer team stands ready to
respond to the needs of Orange County in the event of a disaster. Continuity of communications
with Orange County will be maintained through the use of radios, phones, or other compatible
communications systems.
Trained Monitors
IF Available (4UOr) ^CUrrenUy Committed (35)
Supervisory/Managment/Data
^Availa6k (50) ^Currently Committed (5(
«~ NEEI-SCRAPPER
_ SoluNens you con bufld upe..
