1 <br />OFFERING THE INSTRUCTION AND <br />Durham Technlcol INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT NEEDED <br />College rarer o un ty Co <br />FOR STUDENT SUCCESS AND EEMN <br />��rs <br />hnplei ented orange County Task Force short -tern staffing recommendations. <br />Develop a student - centered customer service experience for Orange County <br />residents. our orange County students [both current and prospective] h one <br />point of contact on campus. 2010-2011 Orange County staffing ineluds the <br />following: <br />The new Student Development counselor, Patricia Gould, is the point of <br />contact for curriculum students in Orange County. Ms. Gould supports <br />students in many ways, including providing admissions, fm ncial aid, <br />placement testing, advising, and other student services at the Orange <br />County Campus. <br />The new Continuing Education program assistant, Judy Graham, is the <br />point of contact for continuing education students in orange County. Ms. <br />Graham's primary role is to support the EMS program, but she also helps <br />students with questions about Continuing Education programming. <br />The new special projects /evening coordinator, Jaclyn Krohn, provides <br />general support to the administrative area along with being the on-campus <br />point of contact during -the evening hours. <br />• Extended campus library hours in order to meet the computer la /library service <br />needs of Orange Counter students. The library ow'opens one hour earlier and is <br />open for computer lab needs on Fridays. <br />Developed eloped an Orange County Campus Instructional Guide for faculty nd staff'. <br />The purpose of this guide to provide instructors [both for - credit and non- orcdit] <br />who are teaching at the OCC important infonn tion, including staff contacts, <br />work space availability, services provided, supply needs, etc. <br />Formed the orange County Campus Administrative Council. The purpose of the <br />CC# C is to serve as a forum for faculty members and Student Support Services <br />personnel with administrative responsibilities for orange Counter Campus courses <br />and students; to facilitate discussion of issues of mutual interest and concern; to <br />identify and monitor cross-curriculum and cross - program issues that may need to <br />be addressed with other administrative groups; and to represent the interests or <br />coricems of faculty as they pertain to instructional support operations at the <br />Orange County Campus, <br />Offering, by appointment, tutoring services at the Orange County Campus for <br />writing, reading, and math, <br />• Constructed and designated the new faculty /advising office suite on campus. <br />These new offices will provide full -tine faculty with private office space to <br />advise and meet with students. <br />All classrooms at the orange Counter Campus will be upgraded with technology <br />by the end of Spring Semester 2011 <br />
