PUBLIC CHARGE <br />The Board of Commissioners pledges to the citizens of Orange County its respect. The <br />Board asks its citizens to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both <br />with the Board and with fellow citizens. At any time should any member of the Board or <br />any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending member to <br />leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to <br />be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine <br />commitment to this public charge is observed. All electronic devices such as cell <br />phones, pagers, and computers should please be turned off orsetto silent/vibrate. <br />C. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br />1. Conditional Use District (CUD) Rezoning Application in Conjunction with a <br />Major Subdivision - To review adeveloper-initiated project that would allow for a <br />27-lot major subdivision at the northwest intersection of Tinnin Road (SR 1313) and <br />School House Road (SR 1314). The rezoning request is from Rural Residential (R-1) <br />to High Intensity Residential Conditional Use (R-8-CU). <br />2. Class A Special Use Permit (SUP) Application Proposing Development of a <br />Montessori School - To review adeveloper-initiated project that would allow for <br />development of a Montessori School at the intersection of Lawrence Road and Old <br />NC 10. <br />3. 2030 Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment - To review agovernment-initiated <br />amendment to clarify language as it pertains to economic development and mixed <br />uses currently allowed within the existing Commercial-Industrial Transition Activity <br />Node land use category. <br />4. 2030 Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Map Amendment - To review a <br />government-initiated amendment to change the land use category of approximately <br />httpa/www.co.orange.nc.us/OCCLERKS/l 10523.htm 5/23/2011 <br />
