24 <br />Attachment 6 <br />Bicycle and Pedestrian Prioritization <br />Bicycle Improvements (on-road bike facilities and multi-use paths) & <br />Pedestrian Improvements (separate category but similar criteria) <br />Right-of-Way Acquired 18 points max. <br />Connectivity - <br />• Direct access to transit/school/CBD/high density 10 points max. <br />residential <br />• Linkage to a larger system of interconnected bicycle/multi- 5 points max. <br />use facilities <br />Inclusion in an Adopted Plan -Recognition of a project in an 18 points max. <br />adopted pedestrian plan illustrates that the project has been <br />professionally evaluated and its value to the community <br />established. Public involvement with plan development and local <br />adoption also indicates community support. <br />Demand/Density -Persons per square mile within 0.5 miles of a 12 points max. <br />pedestrian facility and/or 1.5 miles of a bicycle facility. Greater <br />densities get higher consideration. <br />Bicycle or Pedestrian Crashes - 3 or more bicycle/vehicle 2 points max. <br />crashes or pedestrian/vehicle crashes within last 5 yrs. <br />MPO/RPO Ranking 35 points max. <br /> Rank Top 5 Projects. <br /> #1 = 35, #2 = 27.5, etc. <br />Each MPO & RPO will be able to submit additional projects based <br />on size and population. Any additional projects will not received MPO/RPO points. <br />
