Dairvland Road/Orange Grove Road/Buckhorn Road bicycle facilities (COntIrlUed) 1. SUBMIT AS NEW HIGHWAY <br /> MODERNIZATION PROJECT PRIORITY <br /> #1 TO THE TARPO: AND <br /> 2. SUBMIT THE DAIRYLAND ROAD <br /> SEGMENT AS NEW HIGHWAY <br /> MODERNIZATION PROJECT PRIORITY <br /> - #11 TO THE DCHC MPO. <br />3 Park and Ride Lot in the Buckhom Economic Development District: Orange County requests funding for a park and ride facility Not in NCDOT "OTHER" Originally submitted through the TARPO, <br /> (from the adopted Orange County Economic Development bistrict Design Manual) to be located in the I-85/Buckhorn Road SPOT databse PROJECT this project is in the area within the DCHC <br /> Economic Development District. This project would provide an opportunity for coordination of public transportation efforts #7 MPO boundary expansion into westem <br /> between two growing regions in North Carolina, the Triad and Triangle. Orange County approved by the <br /> Secretary of Transportation in February <br /> 2010. <br /> The Draft 2012-2018 MTIP includes a <br /> park and ride lot in this area as one of five <br /> park and ride lots to be constructed in FY <br /> 2016 -2020. <br /> SUBMIT TO DCHC MPO AS A TRANSIT <br /> PROJECT PRIORITY #4. <br />4 US 70 East-Interstate 85 Connector: Construct connection from US 70 eastbound in Efland to the Interstate 85-US 70 . Subregional HwY Originally submitted through the TARPO, <br /> Connector. Traffic has increased through northwestern Orange County on Efland Cedar Grove Road as an alternative to NC Highway #24 this project is in the area within the DCHC <br /> 86. Much of that traffic "dog-legs" through Efland via Forrest Avenue to Mt. Willing Road to access Interstate 85. Mt. Willing Project MPO boundary expansion into western <br /> Road provides an at grade crossing of the North Carolina Railroad corridor, the only access across the railroad tracks between (Mobility) Orange County approved by the <br /> Hillsborough and Buckhom Road. Traffic through Efland has increased approximately 40% over the last 10 years on Mt. Willing NCDOT SPOT Secretary of Transportation in February <br /> Road just south of Forest Avenue, from 4,800 average daily traffic (ADT) in1997 to 6,700 ADT in 2007, while traffic on US 70 Rank = 250 2010. <br /> east of Efland Cedar Grove Road has increased only 2%, from 4,800 ADT in 1997 to 4,900 ADT in 2007. The Interstate 85/US <br /> 70 Connector just east of Efland is not accessible to traffic on eastbound US 70. This project would enable traffic from Division 7 This project is scheduled for <br /> northwest Orange County to access Interstate 85 more easily without risking the many points of traffic conflict through Efland. Rank = 36 reprioritization. <br /> PROPOSED NEW DESCRIPTION suBM1T To DCHC MPO As A HIGHwaY <br /> US 70 East-Interstate 85 Connector: MODIFY I-85 CONNECTOR INTERCHANGE AT US 70 TO PROVIDE ACCESS FROM PROJECT PRIOIRTY#5 WITH NEW <br /> ALL DIRECTIONS. The Interstate 85/US 70 Connectorjust east of Efland is not accessible to traffic on eastbound US 70. This DESCRIPTION <br /> project would enable traffic from northwest Orange County to access Interstate 85 more easily without risking the many points of <br /> traffic conflict through Efland.
