ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION PRIORITY LIST 2011 - 2017 (2012 - 2018) TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM STATUS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ORANGE COUNTY PRIORITY (2011-17) PROJECT DESCRIPTION NCDOT DIVISION PRIORITIZATION FOR 2012-2018 TIP TARPO PRIORITY FOR 2012- 2018 TIP ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONI STAFF RECOMMENDATION 1 SR 1114 (Buckhorn Roadl Widening: Widen Buckhom Road from US 70 to West Ten Road (SR 1144) to multi-lanes with Subregional HwY This project is not funded in the Draft bicycle and pedestrian facilities. This stretch of roadway borders the westem boundary of the I-85/Buckhorn Road Economic Highway #13 201 Z-2018 STIP. It is scheduled for Development District EDD). This area is the focus of a growing problem of traffic backing up on the northbound exit ramps of I- Project BIKE/PED reprioritization. SIGNALIZATION) CAN BE Division 7 CONSTRUCTED WITH DIVISION PROGRAM FUNDS (SPOT SAFTY; SMALL CONSTRUCTION, CONTINGENCY) STAFF Rank = 15 WILL WORK WITH THE MPO TO PROPOSE APPROPRIATE CROSS SECTION FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND PROGRAM WHEN CONDITIONS WARRANT AN UPGRADE TO THE ROAD AS NEEDED IN THE FUTURE.
