2 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This start-up package can be funded from the Emergency Telephone <br />System Fund using funds as allowed by the NC 911 Board for Public Safety related expenses. <br />The cost of this package is $55,042. Ongoing Annual Software License and Maintenance after <br />the first year is $3,950 and will be budgeted within the Communications Division of Emergency <br />Services. <br />Budget Amendment #10-A: <br />Emergency Telephone System Fund: <br />Expenditures: Equipment $55,042 <br />Revenues: Fund Balance Applied $55,042 <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the addition of <br />Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and mapping capabilities to ten (10) emergency response <br />vehicles to enhance the current 911 Emergency Communications Center dispatch system, and <br />approve Budget Amendment #10-A appropriating $55,042 of fund balance in the Emergency <br />Telephone System Fund for this purpose. <br />
