6. The amount to be paid by the County for services rendered pursuant to <br />the terms of this contract shall not exceed $10,000. <br />7. This contract may be terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days <br />written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the Attorney shall be paid <br />that portion of the fees and expenses earned up to the effective date of termination. <br />8.
