Agenda Automation Questions
1) What goals does the Board have in mind for a paperless agenda
process?
There are many potential benefits to an automated agenda solution, including:
reduction of paper consumed, easier access to related information and reduction in
resources required to manage the agenda creation process. Understanding the Board's
priorities will help ensure the right solution.
Please list your goals for this system in priority order.
1. Efficiency in disseminating information.
2. Reduction of waste, particularly paper and staff time.
3. Better use of county resources, especially computers provided to BOCC.
4. Long-articulated goal of BOCC and closer to industry standard.
5. First three reasons all include cost saving:
Reduction of paper consumed and hopefully making it easier for staff to create and
edit the agenda.
Reduction of staff resource usage
Access to materials.
Reduction on paper usage.
5/10/2011 Orange County Information Technologies Page 2 of 14
