As the Board may recall, amulti-phased approach was
proposed with Phase One providing the details of "where we are now". Future phases would
answer the questions "where do we want to go" and "how do we get there". Neither of those
phases have been scheduled for study or funded.
The Board awarded the RFP to MMA at the June 15, 2010 regular Board meeting.
At the Board's March 15, 2011 regular meeting, the Board received a draft of the Report -
Phase One Assessment of the Current Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services. Based on
discussion at that meeting as well as staff follow-up, additional Board discussion and
opportunity for review and comment on the final report was planned for a work session.
The completed study is attached. Consultant representatives will present the report and receive
comments from the Board.
