Appendix B <br />Allotment Descriptions <br />$3,500.77 per funded headcount. Headcount is compressed of the lesser of the April <br />1 handicapped headcount or 12.5% of the alloted ADM <br />Noninstructional Support (Clerical support, custodians and teacher substitute pay) <br />Distributed based on ADM ($273.71 per ADM). <br />School Building Administration <br />Principals: 1 per school with at least 100 ADM or at least 7 state paid teachers. <br />Assistant Principals: One month of employment per 80 in ADM <br />School Technology <br />$6.77 per ADM. Monthly allotment adjustments will be made to each LEA based on <br />interest received on their account from the State Treasurer's Office. Monthly <br />adjustments for fines and penalties will also be made based on ADM. <br />Staff Development <br />750 per LEA, then 25% of total is allotted equally (base) and 75% allotted based on <br />ADM. <br />Teacher Assistants <br />$1,083 per K-3 ADM <br />Textbooks <br />$67.15 per ADM in grades K -12. <br />Transportation <br />Based on an efficiency rated formula and local operating plans. <br />Vocational Education Months of Employment (MOEs) <br />Base of 50 MOEs per LEA with remainder distributed based on 8 -12 ADM. <br />-Hold harmless for merging LEAs. {Page 12 of the Allotment Policy Manual} <br />Dollars associated with these months are based on each LEA's average vocational <br />education teacher salary including benefits, rather than the statewide average salary. <br />This is a month of employment allotment and you must stay within the months, <br />rather than the dollars, allotted. This calculation is necessary to determine your <br />LEA's allotment per ADM for charter schools. <br />Vocational Education - Program Support <br />Base of $10,000 per LEA with remainder distributed based on 8 -12 ADM ($33.41) <br />Formulas indicated are 2007 -08. The state planning budgets have not been received for 2008 -09. <br />
