31 <br />R~.s-aocl-e~~a <br />RESOLUTION <br />Whereas, Orange County has received a FY 2010 Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Award for the Economic Recovery Program in <br />the amount of $500,000 from the N.C. Department of Commerce on March 14, <br />2011; and <br />Whereas, these CDBG funds will be used for housing rehabilitation, <br />clearance/relocation, and urgent repair activities for up to 29 dwelling units <br />occupied by low and moderate income families in unincorporated Orange County <br />and the Towns of Carrboro and Hillsborough; and <br />Whereas, the Orange County Board of Commissioners approved the <br />execution of.the Grant Agreement, and Funding Approval by the Chair of the <br />Board on April 20, 2011; and <br />Whereas, throughout grant implementation, the N.C. Department of <br />Commerce will require the execution of additional documents as required by the <br />Grant Agreement and Funding Approval approved by the BOCC. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Orange County Board of <br />County Commissioners hereby authorize the Chair of the Board to execute all <br />documents required by the N.C. Department of Commerce -Division of <br />Community Assistance for the implementation of the FY 2010 Community <br />Development Block_Grant Award for the Economic Recovery Program. <br />This, the 19th day of April, 2011. <br />
