Architectural style is not <br />restricted. Evaluation of <br />the appearance of a <br />project shall be based on <br />its relationship to the <br />surroundings. Primary <br />and pedestrian facades <br />are encouraged to <br />complement and reflect <br />the characteristics of <br />downtown Hillsborough. <br />2. Specific building materials <br />are not endorsed. <br />Evaluation of the <br />appearance of a project <br />shall be based on the <br />relationship to <br />surroundings. <br />i. Materials and design <br />shall be compatible with <br />each other in multiple <br />building projects. <br />ii. Materials shall be <br />selected for suitability to <br />the type of buildings and <br />the design in which they <br />are used.
