Kapfer, PE <br />TTTAN -ATLANTIC GROUP <br />5240 Green's Dairy Road <br />ei~~1~ ~ <br />Dear Mr. Kapfer: <br />I have reviewed the water and sewer utilities plans for the State Employees' Credit Union Drive- <br />Up Facility and Expansion/Renovation dated August 7, 2003, and they are hereby Approved as <br />Noted. The following comments must be addressed prior to construction (all comments are in <br />reference to Sheet LA-3}~: ~ .- . <br />1. Bacldlow Prevention: A DCVA backflow preventer must be installed immediately <br />following the water meter, above-ground with an insulated box cover,. Annual testing will <br />be required of the customer, with testing data submitted to the Town. - <br />2. Sanitary Sewer Profile: The length and percent grade of each section of gravity sewer <br />- must be shown on the sanitary sewer profile. <br />3. Sewer Bore & Jack/Encasement Pipe: The encasement pipe must be a minimum of 12" <br />to provide adequate clearance far the 8" DI sewer pipe joints: Also, DIP is noted for the <br />__ - <br />- -: <br />---- ------.--------encasemen$ pike, however; steel encasemgnt pips is acGe to e <br />.~_P _-~ __:.: <br />- -- -- <br />4. '4~Vater & Sewer Connection Fees: An invoice is attached, which details the fees <br />required for connection to the Town water and sewer system. The Water Capital <br />Facilities Fee is not assessed since the existing water service will be utilized. <br />Further instructions on the Town requirements during and after construction can be found in the <br />"Checklist for Approval and Acceptance of Utilities Projects", which is available from my office <br />and on the Town website (www ci.hillsborough.nc.us). The permit application to NCDWQ for <br />the sewer extension should be prepared for signature by the Town Manager, Eric J. Peterson. <br />The fillsborough Utility Inspector (Russell Lloyd, 919-201-1432) should be notified prier to <br />construction, and prior to any testing of the water and sewer facilities to be installed.
