D. Orange County Health and Dental Clinic Renovation <br />Contractor: H.M. Kern Corporation, Charlotte North Carolina <br />Designer: Corley, Redfoot, Zack Architects, Chapel Hill North Carolina <br />Location: 300 West Tryon Street <br />Budget: $1,470,000.00 <br />Description: <br />Renovation of the ground floor of Building A (former administrative offices) <br />for the consolidated health clinic and. the upfit of Building B (current dental <br />clinic) for expansion of consolidated services at the location. The project <br />also includes structurally reinforcing the 1St and 2"d floor of building A as <br />well as the installation of a whole building sprinkler system in Building A. <br />Status: <br />The project is 20% complete and on schedule. The project is being <br />completed in two phases: Building A and then Building B. Demolition is <br />complete in Building A; ongoing "rough-in" installation of mechanical, <br />electrical and plumbing rough-in continues. Building A is scheduled to be <br />complete in late May, 2011, followed by the health department <br />consolidation within Building A and the beginning of the Building B phase. <br />Building B is scheduled to be complete in late July, 2011 and will be <br />occupied by the consolidated dental operations moving in from the <br />Carrboro location. <br />
