The Department of Social Services has received donated funds totaling $1,280 from the <br />Triangle Community Foundation's "Send A Kid to Camp Fund". These funds will be used to <br />help send Foster Care children to summer camp. These funds are set-aside in a non- <br />general fund account within the Adoption Enhancement Fund. This budget amendment <br />provides for the receipt of these donated funds. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br />Department on Aging <br />2. The Eldercare division within the Department on Aging has received notification of additional <br />National Family Caregiver Support grant funds totaling $26,172 for this fiscal year. These <br />funds will be used for caregiver education and the purchase of respite services beyond <br />those funded through the Home and Community Care Block Grant. There is no County <br />match for the receipt of these funds. These additional funds bring the total budget for this <br />program to $56,292. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds. (See <br />Attachment 1, column #2) <br /> <br />
